How great is it that J.Crew are coming to London! There are certain stores that I check out every season, looking for inspiration on how I might apply current trends to my personal taste and J.Crew is right up there for interesting shapes, quirky prints and the use of beautiful natural fabrics. Internet shopping is always an option(Jcrew.com, The Outnet, Net-a-Porter) but I love that, from November, it will be a little easier to touch their beautiful clothes in their Regent Street store. Glamour.com have put together a post on “Genius J.Crew outfit ideas” from their AW13 collection, click here to take a look and be inspired.
Recipient of the ‘Emerging Talent’ award at the British Fashion Awards, Irish-born designer Jonathan Anderson of the JW Andersonbrand, is a name we just keep hearing more and more of. His men and womenswear collections are being talked about with great excitement and among his admirers are the likes of style icon Alexa Chung and model Daisy Lowe. Androgynous is the word that springs to my mind when I look at his work. Personally, I love that boy/girl crossover in fashion and although his Mens Autumn13 collection (Check it out here and see what you think?) might be just a tad outrageous for any of the men in my life (who would be more along the lines of Jonathan’s dad, former Irish rugby international, Willie Anderson) it is definitely a reminder that fashion is constantly evolving and that undisrupted creativity brings us to new places…… You have to love that! The JW Andersonlabel can be found in fashion houses like Dover Street Market, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Browns and Net-A-Porter.
The good news is that, thanks to Topshop, Jonathan’s designs are also available on the high street. His second collection for Topshop will be launched on 15th February and I for one will be there to check out, among other things, those amazing platform loafers.
